About Robdogg

Everyone I know has called me robdogg for as long as I can remember, from my parents to friends to family and I think I have even heard my daughter utter the words a few times. It is interesting to have a nickname yet alone one that has been branded by your very existence and to have everyone you know call you that over your very own name. I purchased robdogg.com several years back and never really did anything with it, but the era of the internet and its capabilities and ease of implementation is becoming easier and easier and I feel now is the time to do something with the name, the website and the internet.

I am not however some fly by night, first time internet user who caught a whiff of websites, blogging and social media and wants to join the bandwagon and make millions overnight. Well… I would love to make millions over night, however I have learned over many years of internet experience that it just does not seem to work out that way. I live and die by the internet, think about it all day and dream about it all night long.

My History With The Internet

I have been on the internet since the beginning popularity of AOL. Yeah you probably remember those days when you rushed home from school, gave your mom back your lunch money just to log onto AOL and pay for every minute you chatted with your neighbor, friends and some girl in china (who was probably some pedophile living down the street). I have trialed and errored many websites, scams, internet hype, have fallen into every internet trap hole, seen the rise and fall and rise of again of the internet and I have also had my successes.

If it was not for all this trail and error, plus learning many things the hard way, I would have never got to where I am today. I have taken several brick and mortar companies online of which are still doing business online, I’ve been a powerseller on eBay, I have owned and run my very own home based internet ecommerce business, I am skilled in the art of online marketing, I run a very successful affiliate marketing campaign and I have been poked and prodded by Google themselves so that they can learn from people like myself who have control of large corporate marketing funds.

I have made a lot of money utilizing the internet, yet I have also seen it all taken away, and very quickly too. 2006 was a very sad year for me and my family and it is my 2008 new years resolution to make a come back. I have used 2007 to re-find myself and develop a new, bigger and brighter master plan on How To Rule The World!

Who Am I

But who am I? I am not the world smartest and brightest but I do have a gift, the gift and research and the gift of doing. Many people are afraid of doing and many people will say one day I will. I never say one day I will. I say I will learn how to do something, then I will fail at doing it, then I will master it…

I would not technically consider myself a guru of the internet, websites, business or blogging but I would say that I can do what others can not. That is make a living from the resources that the internet provides.

I am currently an internet marketing analyst working with a well known internet ad agency. I specialize in PPC campaign management and special projects. Special projects are taking on the challenge of new internet media and attempting to make it work for my clients. I am blessed in the fact that I get to learn and master my trade with other people’s money and then apply it to myself to generate additional streams of income.

I learned to master internet marketing by owning my own prior ecommerce business in the home improvement market. Housing projects were extremely hot from 2001 until the housing market crashed in 2007 and during that time period I made a lot of cash and learned a lot about the internet, marketing and business. Today I apply that experience to clients small and large within the ad agency model and for myself

What is this site?

Robdogg.com is being developed for several reasons. First it is a project I have wanted to do for many years. Integrating my life with the power of the internet has always been a passion and with today’s technology it makes it easier than ever before. This site is also for those who want to keep up with my life style, events, ideas and adventures. This site is for those who want to learn from my experiences and share in my wealth of knowledge.
