Good for you, Rob!

You are now experiencing the quit smoking withdrawal symptoms.
Once you quit smoking, your lungs begin to clear up immediately and during this time you are likely to experience flu symptoms. These could include sore throats, problems with your sinuses, a bit of coughing as well as other symptoms associated with the flu.

But bear with it 'cos once you get over it, you will have a much healthier self who is ready to Rule The World.

Quitting smoking is not as difficult as it is made out to be. Well, technically not the whole process, but just the first few weeks i guess. I am an exsmoker myself and speaking from experience, it was only the first 3 weeks which were a struggle. Every day after that was like magic.
Good Luck to all you smokers wanting to quit smoking..

Rob,
Hang in there. I'm an ex-smoker, too. It isn't easy to give them up, but after you're over the worst of it, you are going to feel so much better. You'll see. Just think how much your lungs appreciate you not putting any foreign substances in them!
Good luck.

thanks for the encouraging words... I am really trying to stick this one out, and I feel better knowing that someone else experienced the same things I am. I look forward to my 2nd week of not smoking, especially if I will feel better.

I started at 14 also. I quit at 35. I'm going on 16 years with no smokes. I also experienced the "quitters flu" . Stick it out, man. It really gets easier at about 2 weeks. Also at 2 months. At 2 years, I never looked back. All that coughing is your body cleaning itself out! Good luck. You can do it.
